How do credits work?
Credits power AI features in Filing Ant — document analysis (1 credit per page) and AI chat messages. A short message without documents costs around 4 credits, while long conversations citing many documents can easily exceed 40 credits per message. Everything else, including company search and document browsing, is free.
What can I do without credits?
All plans include unlimited company search, filing history browsing, officer and PSC data, and viewing documents in your browser. Credits are needed for document analysis and AI chat. Everything else is free.
What is credit rollover?
On all paid plans, unused credits carry over to the next month up to your rollover limit (1,000 on Starter, 4,000 on Pro, 20,000 on Max).
Can I change plans?
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime from your billing settings. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
What are credit packs?
Credit packs are one-time purchases of additional credits that never expire. They work alongside your monthly allowance and are available on all paid plans. You can buy them from the pricing page or your billing settings.
Where does the data come from?
Filing Ant sources all company data directly from Companies House, the UK's official register of companies. This includes company details, filing history, officer appointments, and persons of significant control.
What happens to my credits if I change plans?
When you upgrade, you get your new credit allowance immediately. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at your next billing cycle and your remaining credits stay available until then.
How does document analysis work?
Document analysis uses OCR to extract text from scanned filings, costing 1 credit per page. Once analysed, you can search the full text of the document, extract tables to CSV or spreadsheets, and ask the AI questions about its contents.
