Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Introduction and Definitions

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Filing Ant ("the Service"), operated by Grand Tower Technologies LTD, trading as Filing Ant, ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

In these Terms:

  • "Account" means your registered user account on the Service.
  • "Credits" means the units used to access certain paid features such as document analysis.
  • "Documents" means company filings, accounts, and other records accessed through the Service.
  • "Document Intelligence" means the automated processing of documents — including text extraction, layout analysis, and searchable text generation — to make them readable and searchable.
  • "Subscription" means a recurring paid plan that grants access to premium features and credits.
  • "AI Assistant" means the AI-powered chat feature that answers questions about companies, documents, and filings using large language models.

2. Description of Service

Filing Ant provides access to publicly available UK Companies House records. The Service allows you to:

  • Search and view company information and filings
  • View company documents including annual accounts and confirmation statements
  • Process documents using Document Intelligence to create searchable text
  • Save companies, searches, and track filing activity
  • Use an AI chat assistant to ask questions about companies, documents, and filings

All company data originates from public sources, primarily the UK Companies House API and public register. We aggregate, index, and present this data but do not generate or verify it.

3. Account Registration and Security

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
  • Not share your account with third parties or create multiple accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Payment Processing

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. By purchasing a subscription or credits, you agree to Stripe's Consumer Terms. Stripe handles all payment processing, invoicing, and card storage on our behalf. We do not store or have direct access to your payment card details.

5. Credits, Pricing, and Payment

Credits

Certain features, including Document Intelligence and the AI Assistant, require credits. Credits are consumed on a per-page basis when you request Document Intelligence processing. For the AI Assistant, an estimated credit cost is displayed before you send a message. The actual cost may vary depending on provider pricing changes, the amount of context consumed, documents requested during the conversation, and the complexity of your query. You can reduce costs by choosing less resource-intensive options in the AI chat settings.

Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Stripe. Your subscription will auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until that date.

Refunds

Subject to your statutory rights (see Section 6), purchases are non-refundable, including unused credits and early cancellation of subscriptions. For billing enquiries, contact us at [email protected].

Price Changes

We may change our pricing from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase. If you do not agree to the new pricing, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.

6. Consumer Rights (UK)

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases. By accessing digital content (such as Document Intelligence processing) before the cooling-off period expires, you acknowledge that you may lose your right to cancel that specific transaction.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to bulk-download data from the Service
  • Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the Service's infrastructure or security
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Share, resell, or redistribute data obtained through the Service for commercial purposes
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or violate the rights of any third party
  • Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
  • Use the AI Assistant to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content, or attempt to manipulate the AI system to bypass its instructions or safety measures

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access without notice if we reasonably believe you are violating these terms.

8. Data Accuracy

Company data displayed in the Service is sourced from the UK Companies House public register and other publicly available sources. While we make reasonable efforts to present this data accurately, we make no warranties or guarantees regarding the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the data.

Document Intelligence uses automated technology and may contain errors. You should not rely solely on its output for critical business, legal, or financial decisions. Always verify important information with official sources.

The AI chat assistant is powered by third-party large language models. While we strive to provide reliable information by grounding responses in Companies House data and providing citations to source documents, AI-generated content may still be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. AI-generated content does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any information provided by the AI assistant before relying on it.

Your data is not and will never be sold to or shared with third parties for their own purposes. Third-party service providers process data solely on our behalf and under our instructions to deliver the Service.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its design, user interface, code, branding, and documentation — is owned by Grand Tower Technologies LTD, trading as Filing Ant, and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service.

Company filings and public records sourced from Companies House are made available under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and remain Crown Copyright. We do not claim ownership of this underlying public data.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Document Intelligence processing times are estimates and may vary depending on document complexity and system load. We do not guarantee specific processing times.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in prohibited activity, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination unless doing so would be impractical or legally prohibited.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon account deletion:

  • Your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Any unused credits will be forfeited
  • Your saved companies, searches, and preferences will be permanently removed
  • Your chat conversations and AI Assistant history will be permanently deleted

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect, either by email or through a notice in the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account before the changes take effect.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights granted to you under the laws of your country of residence.

16. General

  • Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  • Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Grand Tower Technologies LTD regarding the Service.
  • No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations to a successor entity.
